A Time of Hopeful Challenges

Hello my dear one

Welcome to this most auspicious time

This is a time that asks, some would say requires,

you see what is most precious and valuable to you.

It is a time of practicing small, incremental steps in your awakening –

an endless journey toward wholeness.

Now you are more able to see,

as there is a lightening in the shadowy times just past.

Seeing what is valuable, precious, and significant

what is calling you awake.

You are unwilling to be led by dreadful stories of gloom and disaster, hopelessness and terror–even though it seems all around you.

I am not suggesting you don rose color glasses and deny the very serious conditions needing attention today.

Rather I am saying you have innate, hidden, powerful connections.

Connections meant to be harvested each day.

Connections that nourish you, inspire you, and lead you.

Connections that change you, the way you see the world,

and the contributions you make.

Together we can consider these connections,

practice and expand a more awakened response to yourself, family, and the world.

Small steps, filled with hopeful challenges, invite you to more fully embrace life and breathe hope into the world

God Bless you and good day,

Isaiah and Friends

Doe, A Deer, A Female Deer: The Spirit of Mother Christmas

We had a wonderful intimate gathering last night holding echoes of ancient times. I hope you enjoy this Deer Mother blog as much as I did!

Gather Victoria

In the ancient northern religions it was the female horned reindeer who drew the sleigh of the mother or sun goddess at winter solstice. It was when we “Christianized” the pagan traditions of winter, that the white bearded man i.e. “Father Christmas” was born.

1-deer5
Today he chariots Rudolph and his steed of flying reindeer across our mythical skies and we have forgotten that it was the” Deer Mother” (stronger and larger than the buck) who lead the herds.

5-deer1
And it is her beloved image that adorns the Christmas cards and Yule decorations we are so familiar with today. Because, unlike the male who sheds his antlers in winter, it is the Deer Mother, who flies through winter’s longest darkest night with life-giving light of the sun in her horns.

Sunday Afternoon with Isaiah in Austin: December 20, 1-4 PM CST

Hello my dear friends,

Good day to you, good day
This is a most auspicious time of year, is it not?
A time of counting blessing, of great gratitude and love
A time meant to invite reflection, introspection and rebirth
A time of letting go of old worn out hates, fear and despair as well as past successes
It is a time for emptying out,
holding in more awareness,
what doesn’t work and what does.

A most magical time
filled with possibilities as you prepare to begin again.
Do not fear looking clearly at yourself
as you decide what to give away and what can stay.
You are preparing the way, welcoming a more holy, precious connection–more of you.
Rest in the Peace of each moment as you prepare to re-new.

God bless you and good day,

Isaiah & Friends

October Full Moon Gathering: Kinship Ceremonies

orb-spider-webMaking prayers for gratitude, honoring, and celebration during the Full Moon Gathering tonight, honoring the Rhythms of Life. We say farewell to those who have crossed to the other-side–Going Home–honoring their journeys with gratitude. Then we welcome to the newborn celebrating each breath and birth ! In Austin we will be lighting a fire around 5PM CDT, and begin around 7PM.

This is an invitation to everyone.  Hope you join us from wherever you are! We are creating a web of connections, learning from these teachers older than time. Some of them faithfully renew their web each day.

Can we also create a nourishing web in order to thrive — a different kind of nourishment– but a web none the less. Perhaps we can create a daily practice of connections? There are so many ways for connections – shared words, images, and actions.

Grandma Chips made ties everyday, she suggested we do that too. It was, she said, her insurance. Join us if you can from where ever you are.

We meet, held in a sacred center, sharing joy and laughter, sorrow and grieving, birthing mysterious connections that transcend time and space.

Sun Stands Still

Musings on Psyche and Nature

If you will contemplate your lack of fantasy, of inspiration and inner aliveness, which you feel as sheer stagnation and a barren wilderness, and impregnate it with the interest born of alarm at your inner death, then something can take shape in you, for your inner emptiness conceals just as great a fullness if only you will allow it to penetrate into you. If you prove receptive to this “call of the wild,” the longing for fulfillment will quicken the sterile wilderness of your soul as rain quickens the dry earth. – Jung (CW 14, par. 190)

Like frozen grass on an old prairie farm, winter withholds the promises of a long ago spring. And Earth, playing coy, it seems, turns away, as if she could care less that we are left standing here shivering, straddling between darkness and the thin light. How are we to be in this longest night? If emptiness…

Living with Love: A Sunday Afternoon with Isaiah–September 28, 2014

Hi,

I hope you can join us for what promises to be a fascinating afternoon with Isaiah. You may already know Isaiah, but just in case you don’t, He is an invisible teacher who seems to bring a “somewhat different point of view”. I think, actually, he touches some deeper part of the heart of us, inspiring, energizing and awakening us to an unknown realm of possibility in some cases In other places I think he reassures us of what we already know but are afraid to trust. You know the part that longs for more. In some ways he seems remarkably accessible, and yet after more than 30 year he continues to be part of The Mystery beyond my comprehension. I am grateful to get to share him and this sacred invisible place, an imaginal space, we enter together with you.

If you are interested in joining us the details are below. If you want the conference call information please let me know.

Jo: Isaiah could you tell us what you would like to talk about it, what is timely in our world?

Isaiah: Of course my dear, as you wish. There is no question the greatest challenge facing you all today is what we need to ponder together.

This Sunday’s Topic: Living with Love

Hello my dear ones,

Your dharma, your birthright is to live with Love

Oh,  I am not talking about that candy cotton sweet, sticky-stuff, although that is also fine as a special treat for children, beautiful, tasty, exciting — temporary

It melts in the heat you know. And life, by its very nature, creates that heat

I am speaking of something larger, more profound, and much more precious

It is the gold of life, your true wealth

Sometimes it is mistaken for false gold, the tawdry glitter of material things taking its place

It cannot you know, nothing can replace the numinosity of Love

The generative experience of being Love, giving Love, connecting with Love

Love is fierce, committed, and enormously huge.

Beyond simple description, it must be seen, felt, thought, and held in awareness

J: How do I know Love?

I: Why, you are it

First, look to yourself, for the best parts and the worst, all of you, embrace the enormity of the energy extending all around you

Consider ways to give away the wealth that is your birthright.

Love is magnetic, drawing to it all that it needs, in order to give more freely.

Trust in Love, practice trusting, falling short, and trusting again.

Listen for it, look for it, expect to see it.

Watch carefully, and find others who want to practice with you.

God bless you and good day

Isaiah and Friends

J: Thank you
