A Time of Hopeful Challenges

Hello my dear one

Welcome to this most auspicious time

This is a time that asks, some would say requires,

you see what is most precious and valuable to you.

It is a time of practicing small, incremental steps in your awakening –

an endless journey toward wholeness.

Now you are more able to see,

as there is a lightening in the shadowy times just past.

Seeing what is valuable, precious, and significant

what is calling you awake.

You are unwilling to be led by dreadful stories of gloom and disaster, hopelessness and terror–even though it seems all around you.

I am not suggesting you don rose color glasses and deny the very serious conditions needing attention today.

Rather I am saying you have innate, hidden, powerful connections.

Connections meant to be harvested each day.

Connections that nourish you, inspire you, and lead you.

Connections that change you, the way you see the world,

and the contributions you make.

Together we can consider these connections,

practice and expand a more awakened response to yourself, family, and the world.

Small steps, filled with hopeful challenges, invite you to more fully embrace life and breathe hope into the world

God Bless you and good day,

Isaiah and Friends

Doe, A Deer, A Female Deer: The Spirit of Mother Christmas

We had a wonderful intimate gathering last night holding echoes of ancient times. I hope you enjoy this Deer Mother blog as much as I did!

In the ancient northern religions it was the female horned reindeer who drew the sleigh of the mother or sun goddess at winter solstice. It was when we “Christianized” the pagan traditions of winter, that the white bearded man i.e. “Father Christmas” was born.

Today he chariots Rudolph and his steed of flying reindeer across our mythical skies and we have forgotten that it was the” Deer Mother” (stronger and larger than the buck) who lead the herds.

And it is her beloved image that adorns the Christmas cards and Yule decorations we are so familiar with today. Because, unlike the male who sheds his antlers in winter, it is the Deer Mother, who flies through winter’s longest darkest night with life-giving light of the sun in her horns.

Sunday Afternoon with Isaiah in Austin: December 20, 1-4 PM CST

Hello my dear friends,

Good day to you, good day
This is a most auspicious time of year, is it not?
A time of counting blessing, of great gratitude and love
A time meant to invite reflection, introspection and rebirth
A time of letting go of old worn out hates, fear and despair as well as past successes
It is a time for emptying out,
holding in more awareness,
what doesn’t work and what does.

A most magical time
filled with possibilities as you prepare to begin again.
Do not fear looking clearly at yourself
as you decide what to give away and what can stay.
You are preparing the way, welcoming a more holy, precious connection–more of you.
Rest in the Peace of each moment as you prepare to re-new.

God bless you and good day,

Isaiah & Friends
